Ideas considered
i considered making my web sight to promote my girlfriends illustrations as she is tidying it at university . I already have various blogs with i use.
This idea i eventually shelved as my web sight was not good enough for this use. i will instead try to make one for myself.
I looked at many web sights for inspiration for mine as i didn't have a specific thing to promote my self with. I have done photography projects, video projects, radio and journalism ones too. As a result i could not simply look at one tipe of design.
The first thing i did was to think of with web sights i frequented the most. I check my emails on yahoo. but looking at the way their web sight is put together would be too chaotic for my purposes.

Another sight with i often go on is the BBC i player. this is a busy web sight but also has a simple black back ground. this is something i like and will hope to use. below is an example of the BBC web sight
i think my eventual nearly finished websight was very similar to the one on the left.

Evaluation
The first time had a go at web design it was a disaster. When i heard i had to do it again i was sceptical. i thought it would be easier doing it on Wordpress. The process of actually making the sight was far easer but being able to make it was my biggest problem. over the course of this project i have made at least five different web sight and many four accounts. the exact number i can't remember. The sort of finished sight is a reflection of this. I haven't been able to remember the password to log in and finish it. Even though by most standers my web sight would be considered a disaster for me i think i achieved something. If i was to do the project again i would be far more confident it doing it. and i may even remember to write down my passwords. The idea of my web sight was to promote my self. on it i put some of the work i had done. Due to the problems i had in making my web sight i was unable to complete all the links. i think the choice of style i had was good as it was simple and didn't look overdone. some of my previous web sights looked a bit as if they from the 1990s. the example below is not mine i just thought it was a good illustration of what my sight looked like.
Other details in making my sight like search engine optimisation i didn't get round to adding. On a daily basis i am nearly completely computer illiterate. it is something i tend to avoid doing with the exemption of word processing with in fact struggle with at times. this is unusual for my age. This project made me tackle this problem head on. and if anything my web sight is useless at self promotion but was a good learning curve. Still to this day however i don't have a clue what Zachky Insalr is.
